Didone by Filippo Sorcinelli is a 2025 release created in collaboration with 7Scents Perfumery in Hungary, issued as part of the duo "Enea e Didone" in a limited edition of 500 pieces. The fragrance is inspired by the tragic love story of Didone (Dido) and Enea (Aeneas), exploring themes of passion, duty, loss, and irrevocable destiny through its dark, resinous and smoky construction. The composition opens with the fruity tartness of blackcurrant contrasted by warm saffron and a nuanced damask rose. The heart brings together jasmine with incense and labdanum, giving the perfume a dense, devotional and slightly balsamic character. In the base, burnt wood and ash are joined by patchouli and amber, creating a lingering, smoky and resinous drydown that underlines the narrative of fire, ruin and enduring emotion.
